Thanks to individual supporters just like you, Humanity & Inclusion supports disabled and vulnerable people in countries around the world affected by conflict, disaster and poverty.
As well as our amazing donors, we also rely on the dedication of our 4,755 staff around the world, including 3,996 local staff supporting our programmes on the ground.[1]
In 2021, we ran 452 projects in 60 countries. Since HI was founded in 1982, our work has benefitted several million people worldwide.
The following figures represent the number of people directly benefitting [2] from HI's work in 2021:

People having received goods or services as part of a project implemented by HI or its operating partners in 2021.

People benefiting from the effects of goods or services received by people directly supprted by HI in 2021.

Inclusion and Social: 952,244 people
Safeguarding and Risk Reduction: 1,146,717 people
-including Armed Violence Reduction: 774, 802 people
1) Staff numbers expressed in annual full-time equivalent positions.
2) Beneficiary data by sector of activity: the number of people having benefitted directly from the actions of HI and its partners in 2020. Some people benefitted from a number of services and/or activities. Consequently, despite our best efforts, a few of them may have been counted more than once. This is non-exhaustive data that does not include all sectors of HI’s activity.
