Ensuring the education of children with disabilitiesIn Burkina Faso, Handicap International has supported a number of initiatives designed to ensure the inclusion of children with disabilities within the mainstream educational system. It is important to show that it is possible to include these children in mainstream schools.
A new life for Djortté KHandicap International runs a filariasis control project in Burkina Faso. This disease, which is caused by a parasitic worm, can be caught via a mosquito bite. The project is currently implementing initiatives that centre on the involvement of people with Filariasis and those close to them.
