Handicap International has been present in Haiti since 2008. Our 100-strong team escaped the earthquake unharmed and launched an immediate response. Over the following weeks, we rolled out a multi-disciplinary emergency programme to support disabled and vulnerable people affected by the disaster.
So far, our work in Haiti has benefitted tens of thousands of people. We are set to continue helping the Haitian people over the next three to five years.
