Schools and youth groups

Handicap International believes young people can make a big difference.

A class of children taking part in a Handicap International awareness session

We believe that everyone, no matter what their age, can be part of bringing about a world where disabled and vulnerable people have their voices heard.

We work with schools and youth groups in the UK, providing support for global learning on areas of our work such as disability, inclusion, and landmines and cluster munitions. We have a growing collection of great teaching resources, exhibitions, films and posters to help bring the global dimension into your school. These are designed to help young people understand global issues and explore how they can make a postive difference by taking action themselves.

Many of our educational resources are available online. If you are based in the UK, we can also send you hard copies free of charge - just fill in the order form online, contact us at schools@hi-uk.org, or call us on 0870 774 3737.
