If you would like to organise your very own challenge, you could create your personalised fundraising page on Justgiving for free.
The fundraising page is just like a paper sponsorship form, except it is online. Instead of traipsing round your friends’ houses asking them to give you cash, you simply create a fundraising page, email out the details, and your friends, relatives and colleagues can donate online. This allows you to reach people that you may not see regularly.
Create your own page on JustGiving
It takes 5 minutes to create your page and you can personalise it with your picture, personal message, fundraising target and much more.
- Choose the event you are doing, how long you want to raise money for and find “Handicap International UK” in the list of charities.
- If you don't have one already, register for a Justgiving account.
- Give your page a title, write a message to your friends and add a photo.
- Email the address of your page to everyone you know, here and abroad, and start collecting donations online!
- Money donated is transferred automatically into our bank account — meaning you don't have to chase any cash or cheques!
Publicising your event
Don’t forget to add the link to your Justgiving page at the bottom of every email you send. You can also add the Justgiving application to your Facebook page.
