Campaign with Humanity & Inclusion

HI's humanitarian campaigning is based on our core values of humanity and inclusion, and our direct experience working alongside the most vulnerable people in situations of poverty, exclusion, conflict and disaster. We believe that disability rights are human rights and that no one should be left behind.

Through our campaigns and the help we’ve received from our supporters, we have seen the incredible impact of people coming together to fight against injustice.

Together we can change the world

When we started campaigning 30 years ago, nobody thought a global ban on landmines was possible. But, with the help of supporters around the world, the Mine Ban Treaty was signed in 1997, followed by the ban on cluster munitions in 2008.

In the years since, we have cleared millions of these indiscriminate weapons and destroyed them, ensuring that they are no longer a risk to local communities. And, as a result, thousands of lives have been saved. Clearing these weapons has helped to keep children anf families safe in their homes and prevent accidents caused by the landmines such as civilians losing arms or legs.

How has this been possible? Because of people like you, who diligently sign petitions, write to politicians and donate to campaigns. Here at Humanity & Inclusion, we’re continuing to run campaigns to support the most vulnerable people. Information on our current campaigns can be found below.

Our campaigns

Bombing civilians isn’t war, it’s a crime. Join our campaign to end the use of explosive weapons in populated areas, and help protect thousands of civilians at risk of being injured or killed. Help us to reach one million signatures on our petition to make a real impact and help put an end to the violence.

Civilians in conflict-stricken countries such as Syria are at great risk of being injured or killed during air strikes. Children living in conflict-affected areas are living in danger of explosive weapons. By joining the Forgotten 10 Challenge, you can help to ensure that victims of conflict are not forgotten. Find out how to take action here.

If you believe that all children deserve the right to an education, join our #School4All campaign. We want to put an end to children with disabilities being denied their rights to learn. Find out how you can make a donation and take action to support the campaign to provide an education to all children.
