Make your working day a fun day with a fundraising event for Handicap International UK.
You could use your intranet or newsletter to promote your event to colleagues, and don’t limit yourself to your own office – if you work in a large organisation try to get everyone involved.
Here are some suggestions to get you started.
| Who’s the baby?
Get everyone to bring in a photo of themselves as a baby and hold a competition to guess who's who. You could even go e-savvy and make it available on the intranet. Charge an entry fee to colleagues to take part and give prizes to the winner and the ‘bonniest baby’! Time-warp Step back in time by charging your colleagues to come into work in the fashion of the 60’s, 70’s or 80’s. Remember to take loads of photos to stick on the notice board afterwards. And for those who don’t even try, fine them for being boring! Walk don’t ride Encourage your colleagues to use the stairs by taking charge of the lift for a day and taking a lift toll from anyone who uses it. Don a cap and uniform for extra authority. Bake off Ask everyone to bring in a home baked cake and then sell them by the slice. Combine this with a tea morning and turn it into a social event. Dogsbody auction Auction your skills to your colleagues – You could do their filing, wash the windows, fetch their lunch or answer their emails. |
Fundraising can be educational too!
