'Dare You Walk the Path?' Check out our new exhibition on landmines and cluster bombs

6th December 2011, Publications

‘Dare You Walk the Path?’ is an exciting new exhibition created by Handicap International UK to raise awareness about the impact of landmines and cluster bombs on communities worldwide.

Dare You Walk the Path?

The exhibition is being shown in schools and libraries around the UK this December as part of the Forgotten 10 Challenge - 10 days of action in support of the victims of landmines and cluster bombs. Find out how you can get involved here.

‘Dare You Walk the Path?’ follows the journey of a survivor from them taking a walk on an ordinary day, through their accident, the rehabilitation process and the challenges they meet along the way, to deciding to speak up for their rights and joining the international campaign to ban these indiscriminate weapons.

The exhibition features real stories from survivors, deminers and rehabilitation staff from around the world, and includes facts and figures about the issues. It is accompanied by a quiz, suggestions for classroom activities, and a message wall where you can post your own messages in support of the survivors.

How to request a copy

‘Dare You Walk the Path?’ is available for free to schools and campaigners based in the UK. The exhibition has 12 panels and is available in A1 and A3 sizes. Email campaigns@hi-uk.org to find out how you can host the exhibition in your school, local library or other public space!
