Call on Grenada to sign the convention

18th June 2010, Cluster munitions

There are just 47 days left until entry into force and this week we are calling on GRENADA to sign the Convention on Cluster Munitions. Please take part in this action and help put the spotlight on Grenada – the only Caribbean country where cluster bombs have been used:

TAKE ACTION!

  • Send a letter to Grenada’s Foreign Minister, Hon. Peter David, urging Grenada to sign the Convention – a template letter for you to adapt and put on your organisation’s letterhead is attached along with the letter sent by CMC. You could also send a copy of the letter to the local Grenadian embassy in your country (if there is one).
  • Downloadable letters urging the government of Grenada to sign the Convention are available from the CMC website. Please take part in this action and help put the spotlight on Grenada!
  • Post an article on your blog, website or social network about Grenada and why it should join the Convention – an article you can use is available here on the CMC website.

Please let us know if you’ve sent letters to any of the countries being targeted as part of the countdown action and if you have any other activities planned.

Check out the schedule for upcoming actions and target countries.

Thanks for taking part!
