The contemporary view of capacity-building goes beyond the conventional perception of training. The central concerns of management of local organisations - to manage change, to resolve conflict, to enhance coordination, to foster communication - require a broad view of capacity development. This definition covers both institutional and community-based capacity building.
Handicap International provides technical assistance, training and counselling services to local organisations of disabled people and to all organisations willing to include people with disabilities in their projects. The wide range of our partners shapes the core of disability networks that then reinforce the power of Civil Society and help raise the voice of minorities. |
