Handicap International is aware that an artificial limb alone doesn't change the life of an amputee. So it is necessary to consider the variety of other issues faced by the individual. Our rehabilitation approach is based on the recognition of individual needs in which the local environment and the individual capacities of the person are taken into account.

Handicap International provides technical support to local and national facilities providing physiotherapy care. Our teams ensure that family members are included in the rehabilitation process and that paramedical staff liaise with community workers.
