In 2010, Handicap International UK's total income was £1,654,824.
Our achievements in 2010
Handicap International UK made significant progress with its 2010 strategy, which focused on providing more support to overseas projects and raising awareness about Handicap International’s work. In particular, during 2010, we have:
- Increased support to overseas projects (compared with 2009) and supported projects in 12 countries.
- Increased our work in emergency situations, specifically in Haiti, Burkina Faso and Pakistan.
- Continued our awareness-raising work in the UK on landmines and cluster munitions, inclusive education and disability & development issues.
- Promoted partnership with UK-based organisations.
- Supported the creation and development of the Handicap International Federation.
Field Programmes
During 2010, Handicap International UK supported projects in 12 countries, with major contributions to Burkina Faso, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Haiti.
The full list of countries supported in 2010 is: Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, The Philippines, Rwanda and Sierra Leone.
